Like many of you, I listen to The Tony Kornheiser Show religiously, never missing an episode. Usually I'll listen with morning coffee, right after the show has been made available. Or if I'm on a road trip, it's the soundtrack of my morning drive. After a couple years of listening, I sent in one of my songs. I had made an album of all baseball songs, so I started with those. I heard back in due course from Nigel, who seemed to like the song. I was delighted when he told me it would be on the show the next day. Pretty soon I ran through my existing sports songs, and began to write songs especially for the show. Getting to be part of a show I love so much in this way continues to be a thrill every single time. And getting a laugh out of Mr. Tony--that's all any song could hope for.
